New facility enhances insulation operation

Pittsburgh Corning has announced the expansion of its FOAMGLAS manufacturing operations in the Czech Republic. The state-of-the-art production facility, based in Klasterec nad Ohri, features an improved manufacturing process which allows continuous production of FOAMGLAS insulation on the 300m long line. The plant expansion will increase Pittsburgh Corning's global production capacity by over 30%. The Klasterec FOAMGLAS plant, built next to the insulation fabrication operations, will enhance the ability of Pittsburgh Corning to efficiently produce both high quality cellular glass blocks and fabricated units for its worldwide customers.
